The Eastern Evaluation Research Society (EERS) is pleased to invite your proposals for individual presentations and skill-building, ignite and panel sessions at the 42nd Annual Conference. The conference will be held at the Seaview Hotel and Golf Club in Absecon, New Jersey on May 5 – 7, 2019.

This year’s theme is Adapt! Evaluators in a Changing World. As the world changes, the practice of program evaluation becomes increasingly complex. The interdisciplinary nature of the evaluation field is continually challenged by the need to develop new methods for studying complex adaptive systems, to identify new strategies for bridging different perspectives about truth and the use of information, and in ultimately translating the knowledge gained from evaluation into meaningful action. While our field has grown in recent decades, so too have related disciplines that build evidence and produce knowledge for society. Within this context, evaluators maintain a clear purpose and process to remain relevant and credible in an ever-changing and evolving world. Join EERS in 2019 as we discuss how the evaluation profession continues to adapt.

As you reflect on content to present, consider the following topics:

The EERS annual conference presents an opportunity where evaluators can grow in their professional practice. It provides the time and space for you to learn from the successes of others, develop new skills, strengthen understanding of evaluation methods, and gain perspectives on the interplay between theory and practice.

Student proposals are particularly encouraged, as EERS has a long history of supporting individuals earning degrees toward becoming professional evaluators. Students accepted to present qualify for free registration and stipend support for participating. Additional details are available in the Call for Student Proposals.
